We know you have your choice of growers.
But when you buy from Root & Bloom you know you’re buying from a facility that adheres to strict Massachusetts regulations, which are already some of the toughest in the country.
At Root & Bloom we hold ourselves to an even HIGHER standard, testing and testing again to make sure we’re providing you with dependable, repeatable flavors and experiences. Try as we might we can’t control nature completely, even in an enclosed space, and there will always be variation in the material we work with; but with our top-of-the-line facility and labs, and with our experienced and creative team, we can make sure that while there is variation in the flower, there won’t be variation in how we label them or in our products. You can count on us. You ever throw together a recipe that comes out great and you forget to write it down and you can’t repeat the magic? THAT NEVER HAPPENS TO US.
In Massachusetts, cannabis cultivators are not allowed to use pesticides. That suits us just fine, we built our facility to be enclosed so that we can set the light, air, temperature, and humidity to our exact specifications. That also means we can unleash some of the hardest workers in the business: beneficial bugs! (You’ll meet them soon) They patrol our 8 flower rooms to find any pests. Tasty, tasty pests.
We are constantly testing and analyzing our flower and products. Every 15 pounds of flower MUST be tested for any trace of microbials or pathogens (like molds, stuff you do not want in your body). We check THC levels, we note terpene profiles, and we sort our smokable flower from what we will use for extractions. Then it gets REALLY sciencey.
Once we make our extractions we test and test again. We check THC potency and flavonoids; we check metals, moisture, microbials again, any residual solvent (levels must be way lower than what’s in a can of whipped cream). You can test with chromatography and UV light, getting dependable data without diminishing the quality of the material. We go beyond mere compliance, testing more than required by law so that we can first and foremost be sure that we’re giving you top quality product that’s safe, but also so we can label it accurately and use it most appropriately. It’s in our interest to know our products inside and out. Once we do, then we can get to work deciding which products to make, flavors to use, sky’s the limit! It’s the final chef’s kiss that takes our products from basic to beautiful.
